Briggs Plumbing Blackburn Product Launch

The Blackburn was designed to bring a more refined visual language to an everyday object.

Working alongside Salt Paper Studio, we handled production and post-production for the launch film — creating a piece that balanced functionality, material detail, and a sense of considered design.

— THE CHALLENGE

Briggs Plumbing was preparing to launch the Blackburn toilet, a product designed to balance refined aesthetics with everyday functionality.

Salt Paper Studio developed the creative direction and brought us in to handle production and post-production for the campaign film.

The challenge was straightforward but unusual: How do you make a toilet feel thoughtfully designed rather than purely utilitarian?

The goal wasn’t just to explain features. It was to present the Blackburn as something that belonged naturally within a well-designed space — while still communicating performance and practicality clearly.

— THE APPROACH

We used controlled lighting, intentional camera movement, and close attention to material detail to emphasize the shape, finish, and design of the product itself.

Rather than treating the Blackburn as a utility object, we approached it the same way we would any carefully designed product — focusing on texture, proportion, rhythm, and environment.

Salt Paper Studio also constructed a raised practical set that allowed the plumbing fixture to function normally throughout production, giving us the ability to capture authentic product interaction while maintaining a clean visual environment.

In post-production, we handled editing, motion graphics, color, and finishing. Graphics were kept minimal and integrated naturally into the film, reinforcing functionality without overpowering the visual tone.

— THE RESULT

The final film helped position the Blackburn as both functional and design-conscious — something built for real daily use while still feeling considered and refined.

Despite a compressed production schedule and focused budget, the campaign delivered a cohesive visual asset designed to work across web, retail, social, and sales environments.

Most importantly, the launch film treated the product with the same level of care and intentionality that went into designing it.
