Case Study: Biltmore Forest Country Club
Restoring Legacy Through Story
The Client
Biltmore Forest Country Club, established in 1922 in Asheville, North Carolina, is home to a prestigious and historic Donald Ross-designed golf course. As the club prepared for a significant restoration, its leadership wanted to communicate the vision and value of the project to shareholders with clarity and confidence.
The Challenge
The club was embarking on a once-in-a-generation restoration of its golf course - returning it to Ross’s original intent under the guidance of world-renowned golf course architect Gil Hanse.
The video needed to:
Reflect the sophistication and tradition of the club
Convey Gil Hanse’s design approach and philosophy
Generate excitement and shareholder buy-in for the renovation project
Our Approach
Tice Studios led a streamlined one-day production in Asheville, followed by a thoughtful post-production process that honored the club’s legacy and the significance of the project.
We focused on high-quality, cinematic visuals and clean, confident storytelling—crafting a video that felt both timeless and forward-looking.
Our scope included:
One-day on-location video production
Interview capture and b-roll cinematography of the course and team
Post-production editing, including music, pacing, and visual polish
The Impact
The final video served as a key communication tool during a pivotal moment in the club’s history - helping stakeholders see and feel the vision behind the restoration. It preserved not only the facts of the project but the legacy and intention behind it.
